Hey D6 friends and neighbors!
I’m excited to announce I am running for School Board in Spartanburg District Six. Over the next few months, I’d love the chance to connect, listen, and hear what matters most to you and your family.
From the beginning, I knew that the best way to support all children’s success was by supporting their schools. That’s why I’ve spent the past two decades deeply involved volunteering in D6 schools—serving on School Improvement Councils, as PTO president and treasurer, field trip chaperone, and library volunteer —whatever it takes to help kids.
As a school board member, I would be excited to bring:
⭐ 20 years hands-on experience supporting children and teachers in our schools.
⭐ Valuable perspective as a parent of three D6 children —our youngest starts 8th grade this year.
⭐ Thirty-plus years real-world experience in business, medical, government and nonprofit roles.
⭐ A heart and passion for serving others.
I would love the chance to earn your vote and will work hard to build on the district's success!
My husband and I have proudly called District 6 home the past 24 years, raising three children who have attended Fairforest Elementary, Fairforest Middle, Dawkins Middle, and Dorman High School.
We have seen firsthand the incredible impact our schools, teachers, and staff have had on their lives. Our children, like many others, have taken advantage of the amazing academic, athletic, and performing arts opportunities in D6.
Our daughter is a Wofford graduate and is pursuing a Ph.D. in chemistry; our older son is starting his final year at Furman; and our youngest will be in 8th grade playing football and performing in the band.
As a first-generation college student, I earned a Bachelor of Arts from USC Columbia ('94) and love my work as Executive Assistant to the CEO of an education nonprofit serving Spartanburg County. My husband is a lifelong public school educator starting his 30th year!
With your support, I’ll focus on what matters most:
Putting children first in every decision
Support for academics, athletics, and the arts
Safe, welcoming schools
Responsible, transparent spending.
I am ready to listen and serve and would love to hear from you.
Let’s make D6 the best that it can be —together!
